Socio - Cultural Factors Influencing Uptake of Long Term and Permanent Methods of Family Planning Among Women of Reproductive Age in Baringo North Sub-County, Baringo County, Kenya

Purpose: The aim of this study was to assess the prevalence utilization long-acting permanent methods (LAPMs) family planning (FP) among women in Ossen Location, Baringo North Sub-County Kenya, and determine influence myths misconceptions on women’s choice about LAPMs options.
 Methodology: This adopted a descriptive cross-sectional design mixed method research (MMR) approach, which allowed for concomitant collection qualitative quantitative data. target population consisted all 2440 reproductive ages (15-49 years) location. sample size 421 women, selected using stratified random sampling. Women willing participate, able give informed consent, age, having resided area at least six months were included study. 
 Findings: FP 66%, with more (61%) short term (pills Depo-Provera) compared those reversible contraceptive (implants intra-uterine devices/IUCD) [39%] LAPM/tubal ligation (0%). found significant LAPMs: IUCD, tubal implants. that who harbored implants likely use short-term such as pills rather than LAPMs.
